Every station is about 15 to 20 minutes on foot from the Main Tower. The map opens on the whole park. Pick a place to zoom in and get walking directions.

Eight floors, with a museum inside and an open-air observation deck on the 8th floor. Open 9:00 to 18:00, last entry 17:30. Adults 1,200 yen.

Where you buy Main Tower tickets on the day, just southeast of the tower. The line here can run 30 minutes or more on busy days. With an e-ticket you skip it.

Stone walls from Toyotomi Hideyoshi's original castle, buried for about 400 years. A 2-minute walk southeast of the Main Tower. You can enter with a Main Tower ticket.

A roofed well right beside the Main Tower entrance.

The storehouse where the Tokugawa shogunate kept its gold and silver.

A complex of shops and restaurants in front of the Main Tower. Handy for a break before or after the climb.

The main gate into the inner bailey. The castle's largest stone, the Octopus Stone, is just inside.

The bridge across the inner moat on the north side. This is the way in from Osakajokoen Station and Osaka Business Park.

The castle's front gate, on the west side. The usual way in from Tanimachi 4-chome Station.

Which station should you use?
- Tanimachi 4-chome for the front gate. Use exit 1-B from the Tanimachi Line or exit 9 from the Chuo Line, then walk in through Otemon Gate.
- Osakajokoen on the JR Osaka Loop Line for the north side. You pass Jo-Terrace, Osaka-Jo Hall, Aoyamon Gate and Gokuraku-bashi Bridge.
- Morinomiya for the southeast. JR Osaka Loop Line, Chuo Line exits 1 and 3-B, or Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line exit 3-B.
- Temmabashi for the northwest. Tanimachi Line exit 3, or the Keihan Line.
- Osaka Business Park (Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line, exit 1) and Osakajokitazume (JR Tozai Line) also work for the north side.
Good to know
- The park is free and open all day. Only the Main Tower, Nishinomaru Garden and the museums charge admission.
- Inside the Main Tower, restrooms are on the 2nd floor only. Go before you start the climb.
- There are three smoking areas in the park. Smoking anywhere else is not allowed.
- Drones are prohibited in Osaka Castle Park.
